Annual Rotary Rose Sale Announced The Rotary Club of Hayward Area, a service organization composed of a broad cross-section of our local community, has announced details of their annual rose sale. Members of the Club are taking orders for hundreds of dozens of roses, available for pick-up at Bonnie’s Florist from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 28 and from 8 a.m. to Noon on Oct. 29. The roses are $20/dozen. “This project is a fun way to support a local business, surprise a loved one with a dozen roses and help our community,” said Edward Haugen, Co-Chair of the project. “With the funds raised, in addition to local scholarships, we are able to carry out other worthwhile community projects. The more roses we sell, the more we can give back to the community.” While most roses are purchased by individuals, some businesses have also purchased roses to give to their employees. Rotarians will accept cash or checks for orders taken at any time during the month of October. |
