Speaker Mike from Bratley-Nelson Funeral Homes and Crematory
The speaker on Aug. 3 was one of our own members, Mike Bratley from the Hayward Funeral Home (Bratley-Nelson Funeral Homes and Crematory).

Mike shared with fellow Rotarians more about the funeral home business and his role in helping families.  It was an interesting presentation and he encouraged all to have conversations and plan end-of-life decisions as best as you can with family members as it really helps survivors navigate through such tough times.
Mike was raised in Ashland, where he met his future wife, Erinn Johnson, while in high school.  After high school, he attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he received a Business Administration degree and then the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where he received a Mortuary Science degree.   In 1997, Mike moved to Hayward, where he began his career in funeral service with the Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home.  Mike and Erinn have two  children, Emma and Tyler.  Mike is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing and various kinds of hunting.
